About us
The Nalma Institute comes to offer alternatives for recycling solid waste. We intend to develop the individual behavior that makes up the collective through a more assertive environmental education. We believe that we can all do more in the day-to-day lives of our homes, companies and other areas to make responsible collection in order to properly dispose of waste. Each person is invited to engage in this journey.

The Nalma
Our walk is associated with concern for the environment. The year 2020, marked by a pandemic, brought even greater reasons to rethink our attitudes and behaviors. Before the pandemic, we had been striding towards the increase of “garbage” produced, either in homes or in businesses, in the streets and spaces where people pass through, generating a huge amount of waste on a daily basis.
In the pandemic, consumption of disposables increased. These disposables invade our lives and the environment. In Brazil, approximately 11 million tons of plastic are produced, placing the country in 4th place in the world ranking.

Instituto Nalma is a private non-profit association, established on September 16, 2020. It was formed by people who believe in good environmental, social and economic practices provided by responsible waste management.
